PURPOSE:
The Welsh Society of Western New England is dedicated to celebrating
and learning
about all things Welsh.
This site includes general information about the Society, a calendar of
upcoming
events, news and information of interest to the group, a glimpse of
some past activities
including pictures, and links to other web sites of interest.
You are now on the Home page that emphasizes general information about
the group.

Our meetings and activities occur at various locations around New
England depending
on the event. For example, past WSWNE calendars have included annual
Autumn and Christmas luncheon & program gatherings in south Hadley
and Amherst Massachusetts, St.
David's Day celebrations
in Connecticut, a Welsh harvest festival in
Vermont, a
Welsh hymn sing in New Hampshire, . The Past Events page provides some
specific examples
with pictures, including our recent participation, with our "Celtic
cousins",
in the Glasgowlands Scottish Festival in Northampton, MA and the Celts
and Currachs festival in New London, CT. Members have also attended
several Celtic music concerts in Springfield, MA.
